April 28th is a month away...just long enough so that some people may put off or forget to register for the Seminar designed to help clinicians improve their confidence and therefore improve their testimony when called to Court. It may not be your favorite thing to do...testify in Court, but in the human service field, you are likely to encounter situations in which your testimony will be required. You can't refuse a subpoena issued by the Court to tell what you know about a given situation. So...it is in yourinterest to learn how to testify. If you have any special problems that need to be addressed in order to participate in our Seminar, please contact the Administrator of The Maple Clinic at 1-231-946-9575 or fax your message to 1-231-947-5781 or e-mail us |
maple@centuryinternet. We will do what we can to facilitate your special need. There are group rates in effect for this Seminar: groups of two pay $60; groups of three pay $55 and groups of four or more pay at $50.The stipulation is that group rates are for clinicians from the same group or agency. ![]() So far, not many clinicians from the Upper Peninsula have registered; I hope this reminder will motivate you to register soon. There's nothing worse than ineffectual testimony in helping to settle a dispute. |
Now that we no longer have to worry about Y2K problems, we have turned our attention to our web page. We have up- dated it and have added new pages. For example, if you want to see old issues of our newsletter, The Maple Leaf Gazette, go to our web page, find the item marked Newsletter, then click on Take a Look. You may also find other |
articles of interest. We have added a page describing the beginning of The Maple Clinic in 1973 and it's various offshoots. We will soon revise our Seminar page listing the previous speakers which we have sponsored in our Seminar series. We urge you to check it out. You have found us. WELCOME! Thank you for looking us up! |
